provides high school seniors with critical information on how to successfully navigate the transition from high school to the college or career of their choice.

This free program is offered throughout the school year. A full-color workbook is provided for students to follow along during the presentation and to take with them as a future resource.

The program shows students how to:

  • Cultivate the "Winning Characteristics" that colleges and employers look for.
  • Prepare for a successful job interview.
  • Build and protect their personal "brand."
  • Manage the time available to them effectively.
  • Maximize their academic performance.
  • Network properly in order to maximize future career opportunities.
  • Master their individual finances and avoid credit card debt.

Making It Counts "Winning Characteristics $cholarship - For the 2011-2012 academic year, Making It Count will award one, first-place, $2,500 scholarship and two, second-place, $500 scholarships to high school seniors who participate in the Making College & Career Count presentation and who exhibit excellence based on the "Winning Characteristics" highlighted in the program.

Details and the application for the 2011-2012"Winning Characteristics" scholarship will be available in August 2011.
